This kid was having such a difficult time seeing, he shared glasses with a family member to get his homework done.
A’Zarrion never had glasses before and knew how bad he needed them. He had extreme difficulty seeing far away and this affected his ability to read and write. Knowing that this might have a negative impact on his grades, he took matters into his own hands—he started borrowing someone else’s. This ‘someone’ just happened to his 10-year-old brother.
With his infectious smile, the ecstatic third-grader told our Kids Vision for Life (KVFL) team how excited he was to finally have a pair of glasses to call his own.
We are grateful that our KVFL team was able to give his first vision exam and provide him with his first pair of glasses. These services impact A’Zarrion and other kids like him in more ways than provide better sight.
On a scale from 1 to 10, A’Zarrion rated his experience of finally owning a pair of glasses a 10.
